Based in the heart of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Consultant Engineering Service, Inc. is a mechanical, electrical and plumbing design firm, incepted in 1964. For over fifty years, CES has been providing quality engineering design and consulting services for clients big and small. Some of our project areas include: K-12 educational facilities, colleges, Universities, law enforcement and detention centers, restaurants, aviation facilities, government centers, and commercial buildings. CES utilizes Autodesk and Revit for our plumbing, mechanical and electrical designs as well as for Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Several of our Professional Engineers are also LEED Accredited Professionals and have career backgrounds with Duke Power and energy conservation. CES has utilized geothermal heat pumps, water loop heat pumps, high efficiency condensing boilers and water and air cooled chillers, ERVs, etc. to provide not only energy efficient designs but practical ones as well that are easy to maintain over the life of the system.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Projects:
Third Creek Elementary School (first LEED Gold School in the U.S.), Goodwill Industries, Traders Row, Transylvania County Public Safety Facility, Watauga Humane Society, Rockingham Judicial Center (first LEED Gold Justice Center in the southeast), Fisher Street Theater, Goldsboro Union Station, High Point University and Piedmont Federal Savings and Loan Headquarters (LEED Silver). There are many others that were designed with the same philosophy/guideline but the Owner did not elect to pursue the documentation. We also have several others in the design phase.
